However, and curiously, in the opposite direction to this trend, we find the employees of these companies. It is in them that we see resistance to advanced technologies, and more often than not, in experienced professionals who are trained to use them. And why this resistance to the usability of new technologies? Why don't they understand the use of these forms of technology as a tool for overcoming barriers? We looked at some of the points and perceptions of these employees regarding change and their reluctance to abandon the familiar in exchange for the unknown. **Professionals fearful for their jobs** One of the main reasons for this resistance is the fear of replacement. With the increasing automation of tasks, many professionals feel threatened by the possibility of being replaced by machines and technology. This fear is fueled by a lack of knowledge, training and the culture of fear that permeates many companies. **Too many processes and obsolete rules** Another obstacle is the attachment to ageing business processes and rules. Many companies remain stuck in outdated working methods, without realizing that these methods no longer reflect today's world. Resistance to the usability of new technologies is fueled by a lack of understanding about the need to adapt to new times. **Difficulty in dealing with technology** Lack of familiarity and knowledge of new technologies also contributes to a preference for what is used today. Many professionals have not received adequate training to deal with digital tools, which are usually just added to existing routines, making them uncomfortable and reluctant to adopt them. **And how can we change this scenario?** To overcome these obstacles and promote a real transformation and significant adherence to usability, the path lies in embracing productive discomfort and making room for dialog and collaboration. Managers need to be willing to listen to employees' concerns and work together to find solutions that benefit everyone, and of course offer support and training. This change is not just about replacing old systems with new ones. It's a complex process involving a change in culture, mindset and organizational culture. By taking on and recognizing the challenges presented by technology, companies can create more efficient, collaborative and prosperous working environments. It's time to leave the "old email" behind and embrace living in the future!
